Trail guide

See the Fir Trail route in 3D.

The Fir Trail picks up where the lake walk leaves off and loops through the old-growth forest of the upper Cedar Valley. It is an easy ninety minutes under some of the oldest trees on the property, with massive cedars overhead and viewpoints opening at several points along the way. Parts of the path are rooty but the trail is in good shape, and it works well after lunch or as a gentle introduction on your first day. Birders and trail runners use it too, and families with kids handle it comfortably.
